What you need to book

  • Photo ID for every passenger. Carry the original Aadhaar (Aadhar) card, passport, voter ID or driving licence. ID details are printed on the Forest Department permit and checked at the gate.
  • Book early. Forest Department permits open 45 days before the safari date for Indian nationals and 90 days for foreign nationals. Peak winter weekends and Dhikala sell out first.
  • What is included. Your permit, the open 4×4 jeep (locally called a Gypsy), the driver, and a Forest Department–authorised naturalist guide who travels with you and helps track wildlife.
  • Cancellations. Forest Department permit fees are non-refundable once issued. See our refund and cancellation policy before you book.

All bookings are conducted by forest officials in accordance with India’s forest department guidelines. Please note:

  • Safari zone, driver, and guide assignments are managed by the forest department.
  • Wildlife sightings are consistent across zones, with healthy tiger and wildlife populations throughout.
  • An automated system ensures fair allocation of safari vehicles to all zones.

Advance Safari Booking Procedure

Planning your Jim Corbett Safari is simple and convenient. Follow these steps to secure your adventure:

  • Visitor Details: Provide the full name, age, and gender of each visitor exactly as printed on their ID cards.
  • Preferred Safari Date & Time: Specify your travel date and choose between a morning or afternoon safari slot.
  • ID Card Information: Share a valid ID card number (e.g., PAN Card, Aadhaar, Driving License, etc.).
  • Advance Payment: Entry fees for the safari must be paid in advance.
  • Non-Refundable Policy: Jeep and Canter safari amounts are strictly non-refundable.
  • Carry the Same ID: Ensure you bring the same ID card used for online booking during your visit.
  • Availability & Refunds: Safari permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. If booking fails due to technical issues or unavailability, the full amount will be refunded.
  • Passport details are mandatory for making reservations for foreign tourists

Jim Corbett Safari Important Information

  • Entry Permits: Visitors must secure entry permits online using the required documents. Permits will be provided by our team in advance.
  • Authorized Guides Only: Only registered guides are allowed to accompany you and Bagh Travels have their guides for a smooth journey. Changing guides is not permitted.
  • Permit Status: All entry permits are permanent and cannot be changed or cancelled else the payment will be strictly non-refundable as per government rules.

  • Safari Schedule: Summer Time: Morning Safari: 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM, Afternoon Safari: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM | Winter Time: Morning Safari: 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Afternoon Safari: 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM
  • Capacity Limits: The number of visitors per vehicle must not exceed the permissible limit of 6 persons.
  • Advance Payment: Jeep Safari amount will in 50% advance of the prior booking.
