The Dhela Zone Safari, a relatively new addition to the iconic Jim Corbett National Park, promises an exhilarating wildlife adventure for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike. Introduced in December 2014, this eco-tourism zone is a vibrant expanse of 1,173 hectares, featuring a diverse landscape of dense forests, grasslands, and thriving wildlife. Adjacent to the Jhirna zone and located just 20 km from Ramnagar, Dhela offers an immersive safari experience like no other.
The Dhela Jeep Safari takes you through a 46-kilometer jungle path, offering a mix of thrilling wildlife encounters and serene moments in nature. As you traverse the zone, keep an eye out for tigers, elephants, and the vibrant birdlife that thrives in this lush environment. The safari operates in both morning and evening shifts, allowing flexibility for visitors.
For those enchanted by the beauty of the zone, the Dhela Forest Lodge provides a tranquil stay amidst nature. Don’t miss the Laldhang Grasslands, where you can spot wild pigs, Neelgai, and various bird species in their natural habitat.

Safari runs in both morning and evening shifts: 6:00 AM-10:00 AM and 2:00 PM-6:00 PM in summer, 6:30 AM-10:30 AM and 1:30 PM-5:30 PM in winter. Dhela is one of the newer zones added to Jim Corbett, expanding safari capacity beyond the older, busier zones.
