Kaladhungi Zone Safari

Kaladhungi Heritage- A beautiful novice

The Kaladhungi Heritage Safari connects wildlife with Jim Corbett’s history. The route crosses dense Sal forests and the Barati Rau riverbed, linking the natural landscape to the heritage village of Chhoti Haldwani. It is a quiet journey where the mist of Corbett Falls meets the legacy of a hunter turned conservationist.

A walk through history

Kaladhungi Heritagee Zone is a world where the echoes of a legendary hunter turned conservationist- Jim Corbett- still linger in the rustle of the leaves. This is not just a safari; it is a walk through history, a journey into the soul of Jim Corbett’s “Golden Valley.”

This zone is situated in Chhoti Haldwani, a village established by Jim Corbett himself. It centers around his winter home, now the Corbett Museum. 60 jeeps are allowed per day (30 in the morning and 30 in the evening).
It is one of the few areas where you can combine a 10 km nature trek with a traditional jungle safari. Additionally, this zone is home to over 300 species of birds and mammals including tigers, leopards, and elephants. It features a track of about 21–26 km through dense Sal forest.

Tourists often praise the “peace and desolation” compared to the traffic jams sometimes seen in the core zones. It is widely considered a photographer’s paradise for birds and landscapes.
